The Communication Center for the City of South Jordan was established in July 2008 to provide a centralized contact to handle all types of City inquires to request services, report problems, process payments, find out about current events, and to obtain general information.
Our Communication Center agents are able to answer a majority of the incoming phone calls without a need to transfer to another division. In the event customers need to be transferred, agents work behind the scenes to make sure the contact that is needed is available and the correct person to handle the call. We are committed to providing great customer service and being responsive to the needs of residents, business owners, and visitors.
A sample of information and services the Communication Center is able to provide include:
- Process Utility Billing Payments and Business License Renewal Payments
- Register for Swim Lessons
- Find out information & directions for events or activities in the City coordinated by Community Services Department (movies in the park, farmer's market, running events, Summertime Stories at the Gale Center, etc.)
- Report graffiti
- Report broken signs or potholes
The Communication Center staff also coordinate responses to all City Departments through the web-based "Fix It Forum / Service Request" found on the City website. We also provide regular updates through Twitter to help followers stay up-to-date on current events.
