NOTICE: A Municipal Election will be held in 2011 to elect (3) Three City Council Members. Candidates for City Council District #1, District #2 and District #4 shall be non-partisan & are four (4) year terms.

NEW CITY COUNCIL DISTRICT BOUNDARIES

On April 7, 2009 New Council District Boundaries were approved by Ordinance 2009-07. If you will be filing a Declaration of Candidacy for District #1, District #2 or District #4, you will need to be sure that you live within the "New Approved District Boundaries." FILING A DECLARATION OF CANDIDACY
Begins: Friday, July 1st, 2011
Ends: Friday, July 15th, 2011

Citizens desiring to run for office must file a "Declaration of Candidacy" in person with the South Jordan City Recorder. The forms will be available in the office of the City Recorder beginning Friday, July 1, 2011. The filing period will run: July 1st through July 15th 2011 during regular City Hall hours: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. A candidate must have been a resident of South Jordan City for at least 12 months (365 days) immediately prior to the date of the election (11-03-09). If a candidate is running for a Council District Seat, he/she, must be a resident of that district.

Note: All candidates must be a current registered voter of South Jordan City.
